When Abby and I were in the process of planning their at-home family photo session, she mentioned that her 21 month old, Gabe, loves to cook, so she wanted to get some shots of their little family making breakfast together. I thought she meant that he liked cooking the way my kids liked cooking at that age — basically, just making a chaotic mess in the kitchen.
But this kid legitimately likes to help out in the kitchen! I was blown away.
I love capturing these moments when they aren’t just about staging a cute photo, but more about truly documenting what’s special in this season of family life. ♥️
