I love photographing families documentary-style — basically showing up to document your family life exactly as it is. No posing. No interfering. No guidance. You just get to be you, and I capture it and make sure it looks as magical as it secretly is.
So many folks are intimidated by this idea, or wonder if their family is interesting enough or their house is clean enough. I totally get that. But that’s not really what it’s about. It’s about capturing the little details of your day-to-day in an artful way that will become a part of the heirloom you pass down to your children.
When your kids look back at these images 20 years down the line, they won’t care about whether the bathroom was renovated or if they had the trendiest PJs. They will see their childhood.
And they will see love.
